Hi, I’m Lu, just a girl with an endless love for sugar and all things sweet!
Cooking and baking have been in my DNA for as long as I can remember. As a child, I watched my grandfather create meals people raved about for years, and I knew I wanted to bring that same joy to others. My Aunt Sandra’s famous cakes inspired me even further — you couldn’t go to a family cookout without tasting a slice. From those early memories, I knew food was my calling.
I followed that passion to culinary school, where I fell in love with the art of baking and pastry during my internship at the historic Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. The precision, the creativity, and the magic of turning simple ingredients into something extraordinary captured my heart forever.
For years, I’ve continued to grow — studying, testing recipes, and perfecting the craft of baking with the best ingredients. In 2025, Sweet Lu Bakery was born.
Why Nut-Free?
Sweet Lu Bakery is Savannah’s first nut-free bakery, created in honor of my Aunt Terry, who has a severe nut allergy. I wanted to build a space where no one has to miss out on life’s sweetest moments. Here, you’ll find cookies baked with love, care, and the highest quality ingredients — without worry.

Our cookies are baked fresh on demand — we don’t keep inventory sitting around. Every order is made just for you! Cookies are available in 6-packs or 1 dozen. Seasonal flavors and specialty items may have their own pricing, which will be listed on the website when available.

Our cookies are baked fresh and packaged to stay soft and chewy during their journey to you! Here’s how to keep them at their best:
Upon arrival: If you don’t plan to eat them right away (we won’t judge if you do 😉), store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
To reheat for that “fresh from the oven” taste:
Microwave: Warm a cookie for 8–10 seconds.
Oven: Place on a baking sheet at 300°F for 3–5 minutes.
For longer storage: Freeze in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to 3 months. When ready, let thaw at room temperature or pop in the oven for a few minutes.
